I’m sure by now, you know how important it is to have an email list for your business (If not, please text a friend to help you remove the rock you’ve been living under.)

When it comes to email marketing there are 4 main problems:

1. How to grow your list – ie: how to get emails
2. What software to use to manage your list
3. How to use that software effectively
4. How to write emails that convert subscribers into buyers

For 1. and 4. I highly recommend you read this in-depth article by Bryan Harris.
For 2. and 3. I highly recommend you keep reading this email 🙂

2. What software should I use to manage my list?

Like most people, I started with Mailchimp because it was the only one with a free plan. But soon, I got tired of their policy to double count emails that are on more than one list. Also, over time, their software started to get bloated with new features and harder to use.

Then, I tried all other alternatives (Aweber, Active Campaign, Infusion Soft, etc.), but they were either more expensive or more difficult to use.

Then I discovered Convertkit, and it was love at first sight. It’s the easiest one to use by far, and they have fantastic support (I’m also a big fan of their young and bright CEO, Nathan Barry)

The only drawback is that they didn’t have a free plan. Well, now they finally do! So if you were on the fence, now it’s the time to see for yourself why Convertkit is the way to go.

3. How do I use email marketing software effectively?

Convertkit already has a lot of tutorials to help you get started. The only problem is that none of those tutorials have a funny looking dude with a weird Spanish accent in them.
